JSW, SAIL and Vizag come as Fe 550D, and Kamdhenu, India Gold and President as Fe 550. All come with test reports. Tell us which brand your engineer has specified, or ask us for rates on more than one brand.

TMT bars are sold by weight. The table gives the standard weight for each diameter under IS 1786, for a 12 metre bar.

Fe 550 grade and what the test report shows
Fe 550 means the bar has a minimum yield strength of 550 N/mm². The test report that comes with your supply records the tested values for that batch.
We do not supply TMT that is not approved to ISI grades.

Is Fe 550 TMT suitable for house construction?
Yes. Fe 550 TMT is used for RCC work in houses, apartments and commercial buildings. Your structural engineer's drawing specifies the grade and diameters, and Amrit Steels supplies to that drawing.
